Devotional is a dialogue free film work looking at the relation of love, dependency, and control, through competitive animal performance and communities of care. Focussed on the gaze of dogs towards their trainer competing in dance performances and drawing a connection to traditions of representation of dog-
human relationships in the regional art historical museum of Munsterland, suggesting a connection to historical aesthetic regimes and traditions, and christian history and representation.
